Our Commitment to Your Safety

At Aspire Education Academy, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We uphold a proactive, fully embedded safeguarding culture across every department, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all learners.

Our safeguarding approach covers physical safety, emotional wellbeing, mental health, and the prevention of harm in all forms, including abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination. We are committed to inclusivity and champion the needs of all learners, particularly those with additional vulnerabilities.

We empower learners to achieve their full potential by providing access to appropriate support services. All concerns are addressed promptly, professionally, and with dignity through our clear safeguarding procedures and trained Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).

By embedding safeguarding best practice into every aspect of our organisation, Aspire Education Academy remains a safe, supportive learning environment where every learner can thrive with confidence.

What We Mean by Safeguarding

At Aspire Education Academy, safeguarding goes beyond meeting statutory requirements. It reflects our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment where every learner feels valued, protected, and empowered.

Our safeguarding framework ensures consistently high standards of learner protection and wellbeing across all areas of our provision.

For us, safeguarding means:

  • Protecting learners from harm, abuse, and neglect

  • Promoting physical and emotional wellbeing and personal safety

  • Encouraging respect, dignity, and positive behaviour

  • Ensuring all interactions are safe, supportive, and professional

  • Upholding equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do

Learner Support & Protection

Our safeguarding policy includes robust procedures and clearly defined responsibilities to ensure learners receive the right support throughout their journey with Aspire Education Academy. Our framework is designed to protect learners, promote wellbeing, and respond effectively to concerns.

Key Safeguarding Measures:

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and The Safeguarding Team

Our trained safeguarding staff are available to address concerns, provide guidance, and offer appropriate signposting. The DSL is responsible for initiating safeguarding responses and taking timely, proportionate action when concerns arise.

  • Clear Reporting Channels:

Learners and staff are encouraged to contact the Safeguarding Team directly or report concerns confidentially and anonymously via the MyConcern reporting platform.

  • Effective Information Sharing:

When raising a concern, providing as much relevant information as possible enables us to assess risk accurately and deliver appropriate support.

  • Prevent Duty Compliance:

Aspire Education Academy is fully committed to meeting its statutory responsibilities under the Prevent Duty.
We remain vigilant in identifying vulnerabilities and providing early intervention and support.

  • Wellbeing and Pastoral Support:

Learners have access to wellbeing resources that support emotional health, resilience, and the management of academic pressures, alongside personalised support to promote inclusive learning.

Our approach ensures that learners feel safe, listened to, and supported at every stage of their education.

Policies That Keep You Safe

Aspire Education Academy adheres to comprehensive, up-to-date safeguarding policies developed in line with statutory policy, duties and guidance alongside national standards and best practice. These policies are regularly reviewed, communicated to staff and learners, and embedded into our daily practices.

Key areas include:

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection

  • Preventing Radicalisation and Extremism

  • Online Safety and Digital Safeguarding

  • Anti-Bullying and Harassment Prevention

  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

All staff receive ongoing training to ensure policies are understood, applied consistently, and reflect evolving standards and legislation.

Collaborative Safeguarding

We recognise that effective safeguarding is strengthened through collaboration. Aspire works with partner organisations, employers, local authorities, and external agencies to safeguard learners and promote safe learning environments. We share best practice, take part in local safeguarding networks, and ensure that any concerns are escalated appropriately and managed professionally.

If you are a learner, family member, employer, or partner, you should always feel confident that safeguarding is central to our work. If you have any concerns, questions, or need support, our team is here to help — and will always act with respect, confidentiality, and urgency.
