The Lancashire EYFS Bootcamp is a fully funded training programme created for adults who want to work with children in early years settings. This bootcamp focuses on building essential early years skills, child development understanding, and practical knowledge that employers value in EYFS roles.

The training combines theory and hands-on practice to prepare learners for roles such as Early Years Educator, Nursery Support Assistant, or Teaching Assistant with an early years focus.

Course Delivery & Timings

The Lancashire EYFS Bootcamp runs over a structured schedule designed for flexible adult learning.

  • Format: Hybrid delivery

    • Online sessions via Microsoft Teams

    • In-person workshops at local Lancashire venue (e.g., Blackpool Football Club)

Who Is Eligible?

This funded training opportunity is available to adults living in Lancashire who meet the eligibility criteria. Funding availability depends on individual circumstances and course requirements.

You may be eligible if you:

Are aged 19 or over

  • Live in Lancashire / England

  • Have the right to live and work in the UK

  • Are unemployed, self-employed, or earning below the funding threshold

  • Are motivated to work in an education setting

  • As part of the Teaching Assistant Bootcamp, you will complete three accredited units from the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, covering:

    • Safeguarding children and young people

    • Supporting the learning of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

    • Understanding child and young person development

  • Our Teaching Assistant Bootcamp is ideal for those passionate about supporting children and young people in a classroom environment.

    Throughout the course, you’ll receive tailored support from the National Careers Service to develop your CV and prepare for interviews. You’ll also be guaranteed a 1:1 interview with Vision for Education during the bootcamp.

    After completing the course, our Learning Engagement team will continue to provide check-ins and additional support to help you progress into employment.

  • The Teaching Assistant Bootcamp was developed by Aspire in response to growing national and local demand for teaching assistants and school support staff.

    The curriculum is aligned to national occupational standards and focuses on building professional skills, role understanding, and practical knowledge of education settings. Learners also receive guidance on job applications, recruitment, and interview processes specific to teaching assistant roles, with the aim of progressing into secure employment within schools.
